From today, you can connect Zineps to the AI tool of your choice. With the new MCP connection (Model Context Protocol), you ask questions about your shipments, orders and invoices in plain language and let your AI assistant do the digging. You can even create and reprint labels straight from the conversation.

What can you do with it?

The connection gives your AI assistant secure access to your data in Zineps. For example:

• "Where is the parcel with this tracking number? The customer says it's been on its way for a week."
• "What's the status of order 10482? Is there a label, has it been paid, and is there an open ticket?"
• "Why is my September invoice higher than August's?"
• "Here's the carrier's surcharge CSV. Which shipments belong to which label?"
• "Create a label for this order and send it to my printer."
  

Instead of clicking through tracking, orders, invoices and tickets yourself, you get the full story in one answer, including a suggested next step.

Built-in investigation flows

For the questions we hear most often, the connection includes ready-made workflows. Your AI assistant automatically follows the right steps:

1. Investigate a shipment. Delayed or missing parcel? From a tracking number or order reference, the assistant checks tracking history, materials and customs data and the Shopify line items, then suggests next steps.
2. Investigate an order. Order status, labels, payments and open tickets in one overview.
3. Investigate an invoice. Amount, period, label volume, surcharges and payment status, so you see exactly where a number comes from.
4. Reconcile carrier surcharges. Upload a carrier CSV (up to 200 tracking numbers per batch) and instantly see which surcharge belongs to which Zineps label.
5. Monthly partner review. For partners: labels, revenue, tickets and unpaid invoices, compared with recent months.

Everything you can look up

• Ship and print: create a label for an order that already has a carrier and product, remake a label from an existing one, download the PDF or ZPL, or send the label to your printer again via PrintNode.
• Labels and tracking: search by tracking number, reference or label ID, tracking history, recent labels, usage, surcharges, and customs and materials data.
• Orders and shops: find and investigate Zineps orders in depth, fetch live data from Shopify, WooCommerce and CCV Shop, and view your shop integrations (such as Bol).
• Invoices and payments: your invoices, invoice lines and Mollie payments.
• More: customer profile and statistics, subscriptions, returns, tickets and your address book.

Partners also get KPI summaries, rates, routes, products, the surcharge catalog, carrier invoice files, label API logs and rate debugging from a draft shipment.

Secure and scoped

You sign in with your own Zineps account (OAuth). What your AI assistant can see depends on your role: as a merchant you only see your own company, as a partner only your own merchants. Your password is never shared with the AI tool.

Almost everything the connection does is looking up and investigating. The only actions that change anything are creating a label, remaking a label and reprinting via PrintNode.

Because AI tools process data in their own way, it's wise to think about what information you share. You decide which AI tool you use and how.

How to set it up

1. In your AI tool (for example Claude or ChatGPT), open the connector or integration settings and choose to add a custom connector.
2. Enter https://mcp.zineps.com as the URL.
3. Sign in with your Zineps account and grant access.
4. Ask your first question, for example: "Investigate the shipment with tracking number …"
