Nobody knows where the return is
The customer asks, support asks the carrier, the carrier asks for a tracking number that is in a different tab. Meanwhile the item sits in a depot and the refund waits until someone notices it arrived.
For webshops that ship across Europe
Zineps gives customers a branded returns portal, creates a prepaid return label with a carrier that fits the origin, and shows your team the refund status until the item is back.

Returns management software handles a customer return from request to refund. It lets shoppers start a return in a branded portal, checks the request against your return policy, creates a prepaid label with a suitable carrier, tracks the parcel back, and updates your team and your customer when it arrives, so the refund or exchange is not stuck in an inbox.
Return labels for the carriers European customers already use
Zineps is a multi-carrier shipping and returns platform for webshops in the Netherlands and Belgium. Return labels are created with the carriers European customers already use: PostNL, DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS, FedEx and Bpost, so a return does not need a second portal.
The problem
A return is a second shipment. Outbound labels are usually automated, but returns still run on email threads, copied addresses and a shared inbox. Until the parcel is scanned in, the item is not sellable and the refund waits on whoever notices it arrived.
The customer asks, support asks the carrier, the carrier asks for a tracking number that is in a different tab. Meanwhile the item sits in a depot and the refund waits until someone notices it arrived.
Your webshop, bol.com and Amazon each treat returns differently, and so do your own policies by country and product. Applied by hand, they drift, and you refund things you should have refused or charge for things you should not.
A sellable item on a truck is stock you cannot sell. Slow or unscanned returns tie up inventory for days, and in fashion or seasonal categories that is the difference between selling at full price and marking down.
Where you are today
Zineps is used by shops that still handle returns in a spreadsheet and by teams with several channels and countries. The starting point differs. The goal is the same: every return follows one visible path from the branded portal to the refund.
Starting out with returns
You do not need a reverse-logistics project. You need customers to stop emailing for labels and your team to stop chasing parcels.
Returns at volume
Policies are written. What is missing is one place to enforce them, route returns sensibly and measure what returns really cost.
What you get
Between a customer asking to return an item and a refund being sent, Zineps covers a branded returns portal, a prepaid return label with a fitting carrier, and one status for the team. Extra automation, such as rules or reports, is confirmed on a demo.
Customers find their order, pick the items and a reason, and get a label, on a page that looks like your shop rather than a carrier. In their language, on their phone.
Return window, free or paid returns, exceptions for sale items or hygiene products, by country and channel. Start from the policy you already publish. What can be applied automatically is confirmed on a demo.
A prepaid label with the carrier that fits the customer's location. How you trade label price against time back at the warehouse is set with you on a demo.
Requested, label sent, handed in, in transit, received. The customer sees it on a tracking page, your team sees it in the queue, and nobody has to ask the carrier.
When the return arrives, the team sees it straight away and can inspect, approve and refund or ship the exchange, while the item goes back into sellable stock sooner.
Which items come back, why and from where. Which reports you get, including cost by product, is walked through on a demo.

Getting started
Returns management with Zineps starts from your webshop orders. A customer opens a branded returns portal, the request is checked against your published return policy, and Zineps creates a prepaid return label with a carrier that fits the origin. Your team sees one refund status until the item is back. Which routes you offer is confirmed on a demo.
01
Shopify, WooCommerce, bol.com, Amazon or your own system. Orders and customers arrive in one place.
02
Return window, who pays, which products are excluded, per country. Start with the policy you already publish.
03
Use your own carrier contracts, or let us introduce you to one of our logistics partners. Which return routes you offer is confirmed on a demo.
04
Link it from your order emails and website. Customers create returns, your team watches the queue, and the data shows what to fix next.
Why returns leak money
Every return costs a label, time the item cannot be sold, and handling before the refund. This is a general explanation of those three costs for European webshops, not a customer result and not a price.
How the cost adds up
The three costs inside every return
Every return costs a label, time and handling. The label is the visible part. Time is the days the item is not sellable while it travels and waits to be scanned. Touch is how many people open how many emails before the refund is approved. Cutting only the label cost usually moves the other two the wrong way.
In the EU, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase and then 14 more days to send the goods back, and the shop must refund within 14 days of the withdrawal notice, though it may wait until the goods arrive or proof of dispatch is shown. Unless you tell customers up front that they pay, return shipping falls on the seller. A clear policy, enforced the same way every time, is both a legal and a cost question. This is general information, not legal advice.

A label solves one step. If you handle a few returns a week, email and a label may be fine. Once returns become a regular share of orders, the cost sits in the steps around the label: answering questions, checking policy, chasing parcels and approving refunds. That is what returns software removes.
04
Return options depend on the carrier. Zineps creates the return label with a carrier that fits the customer's location, and which drop-off options apply, such as a parcel shop, is confirmed on a demo for your carriers and countries.
05
Under EU consumer rules, the consumer bears the direct cost of returning goods after withdrawal only if the seller told them so before purchase. Otherwise the seller pays. Many shops choose to offer free returns anyway. This is general information, not legal advice, so check your own terms.
